Made the hotel reservations yesterday and we're kinda regretting it, but it'll still be fun I guess. This loss really takes away some of the excitement though.

Anybody else going, or was anybody going to go and are now cancelling their trip?

Believe it or not, I think we have somewhat of a chance against SC. They are bad too, they just got drilled by UGA. I think it will be a Stanford type of game where we'll keep it close on D for awhile.

They may be struggling too, but they are going to absolutely slaughter us.

Of course you are still going!!!

Of course you are going to have fun and not regret it!!! It's a road trip and it's a great college football atmosphere and
It's better than staying home. Just drink more.

They are going to kill us, but we are not going to suck forever. We will turn this around!!!!

Both our team finished in the top 10 just 2 years ago. How did it come to this? We're both terrible.

Oh well, there will be a lot of drinking on Saturday. Enjoy!

Heck yeah! If I already had it planned, etc. You bet I'd still be going.

I have my first away game in years planned coming up-- I am going regardless. I don't get many chances to do this often.

Still going. Got to take the ass kicking with the team to show support. Easy to be a fan when you're winning.

Hey, crazier things have happened before in college football. Some of you may remember the 1999 season, when we got our butts kicked by Purdue, Florida, and Georgia Tech over the first three games. After that trio of ass whippings, we surprisingly lost to a top ten-ranked Georgia team by only one point because of a missed extra point by Javier Beorlegui and a controversial offensive pass interference call on Kenny Clark. I would not be surprised if we either lost to South Carolina by a touchdown or less or somehow pulled an upset on them. Boy, would Furman fans be tickled pink if we beat their "big brother."

Yes, 3 of us will be attending... No change in our plans. Should be a fun trip regardless of the outcome of the game. Should be interesting; (2) fan bases totally miserable about the start of there respective seasons. Expectations have been squandered to this point. Still love UCF Football and will be in the stands supporting our Knights!! Go Knights! :)

Was going to go but never made any reservations. When the game was set for noon it made it tough but after Saturday we decided to watch it at the house.

Still going. Where are we meeting Friday night to drink our sorrows prior to the game?

We have tix, hotel reservations, etc. But I'm seriously considering canceling the trip and just eating the cost of the tix.

I'm in the same boat. Traveled to quite a few road games and Ireland, and have been to Columbia, SC before. Got 5 seats in section 17 if there are people who want to experience Williams Brice stadium in person. Contact me at JLB2000@cfl.rr.com.

I originally purchased (5) tickets, only require (3) (2 seats are together). Purchased for $45.00 ea. from UCF Ticket Office; willing to sell for less than face value. Arriving in Columbia on Thursday, September 24. Will deliver in Columbia wherever is convenient for both parties. Contact me via text @ 863.430.8542. Thank You!

We have availability for parking/tailgating at a very nice facility for the UCF-Carolina Game. Price is $45 and includes indoor restrooms, AC, and big screen TV's inside for other game viewing. Can take credit cards and will email parking pass upon payment. Currently wide open, as this facility was set to close recently but we are keeping it open now for the season and did not pre-sell spaces. Call 803.920.1661 if interested. Facility name is Carolina Haven - www.mycarolinahaven.com. Tks,

Both programs are in free fall. Our (USC) defense is worse than last year, if that is possible. Our defensive coaches are just clueless....throw 7 yard slants and hitches against us all day and you will win. I expect a close game between two bad teams.

Dude, UCF is going to suck so much more than SC, I'm willing to bet a beer on it.

You guys got this by 30 in my book.

Yeah, I keep hearing from SC fans that we have a chance. I appreciate the sentiment, but what we've got going on here with the 2015 UCF club is historically bad. Offenses don't get more impotent than what coach Key has cooked up for us this year. South Carolina will crush us. I'll be there to take part in the shame.

Never was planning to go to Columbia regardless of record, but I'll be watching on TV in the comfort of my home no matter what happens.

So, Knights, gather around: where are we meeting Friday night to drink our sorrows prior to the game?

Me and 4 other students decided to go this week, despite how bad we are. We decided the tailgate, atmosphere and the road trip to an SEC team would make it worth while.

last minute trip planning now. I am not familiar with the area, can someone give me some ideas on hotels that you are in close proximity and are decently priced? where is everyone staying?

Found $90 x night at La Quinta in Ft Jackson a few weeks ago. Dunno what the price looks like now but the area is pretty close to the stadium.

Great attitiude... I was a student during GOL's first year (0-11). I loved traveling to away games no matter how bad we were. It's since paid off being able to see some of the biggest program wins live and in person.

tried them, sold out. thanks though

It's really, really tight. Try the Carlson Inn and Suites in Cayce. Hotels have been booked for months. Apparently its parent/student weekend as well. I saw the Hampton near the stadium for $300+ months ago

I've got 2 tickets in the UCF section available, listed in Ticket Exchange forum
