But why do people have to put words in my mouth, in order to get people upset with me, when it's nothing I've said?

Seems like when I catch someone in a falsehood or lie, they fall back on that. And they quickly cover their tracks if they have the power to do so.

The mods didn't address it until a half-day later, despite my waving my arms. At least it looks like Jhon took my instant message seriously, unlike others.

As I said, it was no longer about 'difference of opinions.' I didn't want to be a donor and associated with a group with posts that could be NCAA issues, along with Heupel's steep buy-out for that matter.

But another mod decided to demonize me and say I was insinuating the group and members were trash. I never said such a thing, and he got called out by someone else too.

So... alas. And then the same mod demonized me again in yet another post, after I was muted.

Yeah, I'm aware of some history, especially when the mod that demonized me started dragging up mine. I merely stated he has some too in response.

I raised the flag, and after a pair of mods didn't address it, I made a post that the last few posts -- largely that one (the 'straw that broke the camel's back'), plus the ones questioning use even hiring Heupel (well beyond the 'fire Heupel' -- like totally ignorant of Heupel's costly buy-out clause) made me question, as a donor, if I wanted to be associated with the group any further.

I listed those 2 things in the very first comment -- with the explicit, "this isn't about difference of opinion any more, we can agree to disagree on other things" -- but then the "Oh, I'm taking my ball and leaving" BS started from people who didn't like me, including that mod talking about me. What finally led to the muting was him demonizing my saying someone else was "throwing trash" and "not realizing they're trashing," got turned into "insinuating the people here are trash," and grandstanding that basically turned everyone against me.

And once someone else defended me, and why the [subset of] mods seriously needed to look at it, let alone stop making it about me ... that was that, it got nuked, with me too.

I personally loved the further demonization of me, and utterly ignoring that post was just the 'final straw' on why I posted. Again, at least Jhon (I try to be positive where possible) seemingly read my IM at some point, and finally posted and closed commenting on that post (as he's a moderator). I know I 'get on people's nerves,' but when I waive my hands about something serious, and it goes ignored ... well ... I have to question things. I mean, if the mods have enough time to argue with and demonize me, they have enough time -- and not 12 hours later -- to address what got me 'going' in the first place.

Kinda told me everything about the group, and why a donor like me probably shouldn't be a member. Some people are always going to make some things about me, and then claim I did. No, sometimes I just get frustrated when there is a serious issue.

Reading that post without the rest of the context or ever being in that group, simply emailing the coaches about good players isn’t a violation and is a pretty good suggestion that will keep boosters out of trouble. Now, the recruiting for the coaches is dangerous if taken wrongly. Probably would’ve been better saying scout for the coaches.

I'm just 'ranting' in the Water Cooler. That's all. I wouldn't post this in the Dungeon, much less the Kiddie Board. Heck, the Kiddie Board would probably end up the same, with the demonizations about 'taking my ball.'

If it wasn't for those late posts, I wouldn't have cared. But once it was more than playing and playcalling criticisms, beyond just who should start/sit, and beyond just how people didn't like Heupel, etc... we moved beyond 'difference of opinion.'


EDIT: And beyond that ... it pisses me off how many people are saying crap and don't even make games, much more away games. I just got back from Cincy, and our one car is still in the shop from the near head-on collision we had driving on the way up.

I understand and appreciate that, and I said that to several mods in Messenger.

But I still got demonized several times, including by a mod that doubled-down (I wasn't the only one who called him out), when I was trying to make a point that we now had several posts where it was moving 'beyond difference of opinion.' I was not taking an issue with the opinions or views or even bitching and complaining about the playcalling, players, etc... I was getting tired of things that could get us donors into trouble ... from the NCAA to Heupel's sheer buy-out (for the few that were literally going beyond the simple 'fire Heupel').

I shouldn't be demonized, especially not by a mod, just to get people to rally against me. I never, ever would consider the group or anyone 'trash' -- like the mod completely stated in front of others -- and at most, I only said 'throwing trash' and people didn't realize 'what they were trashing.' But the mod made it sound like I was insulting the group, and then triple-downed in a post after my muting, completely trashing me about nothing I said.

I'm not asking for an apology. I'm just asking W-T-F?! BTW, I'm still muted. I just want this non-sense over with. I'm willing to look at this as 'water under the bridge' at this point.

NOTE: Although I reserve the right to 'explain myself' if anyone, especially that mod, posts about me, going forward. I will not be triple demonized like that again. But if people aren't saying or insinuating anything, going forward, no sense for me to revisit it or burden the group with it.

It's just funny how this all went down ... and the other mods eventually did catch it. I do appreciate them.

But it still doesn't change the fact that I'm muted, and ... all the other trash thrown at me before, and after, I was ... when there was a clear issue that wasn't me.
