Wheels coming off. I never understood how were ranked so high. Our players are tiny. Every game I go to...our pitching is terrible. $#@!!!&*$

Better weekend competition (especially UCONN).

Outside the Mobile, AL tourn and Ole Miss series...the UF and FSU games were against mid-week pitching.

UCF's offense feasted on 3 game weekend series vs Siena, Columbia, Fairfield and Presbyterian...as UCF swept the first 3 and won 2 out of 3 vs Presbyterian.

Good news about AAC is that there might not be much difference between top and bottom teams so that anyone could win AAC Tourn and get auto-bid to NCAA Tourn.

Well, here's some good news, folks, if you want to call it "good news." The American's RPI is currently 4th among all Division 1 conferences, according to WarrenNolan.com. UConn's RPI is #35, so they're not exactly looked at as a bottom dweller. Our RPI sits at #53, so we're not out of the race for a potential at-large berth should we fail to win the conference.

That's all the positive spin I can muster right now. If they continue playing this way, I don't see how this team can make it beyond AAC pool play.

Huh? Correct your grammatical errors, please.

The American is still a solid baseball conference. If Louisville was still in the mix we'd be probably a top 3 or 4 conference.

I just don't understand how Louisville does what they do. They are ranked 7th and lead the ACC in baseball. They are 16-2 in the ACC!

How does a school in a not so great weather environment have so much success? I guess it gives UC not reason to not believe that we could compete at a high level.

Good luck to the Golden Knights the rest of the way!

Sorry for seeming rude, but I really didn't understand your post at first. Anyway, back to the topic. . . I think we're out of the top 25 for sure with a series loss to Tulane. What has happened to our offense? They gave Cre Finfrock nothing on Friday.

$$$$$

Prior to 2005, UL Baseball (UL Football till 1997), were stuck playing at the old minor league ballpark

In 2005, UL opened up a beautiful brand new 2,500 seat on-campus baseball stadium

That investment lead UL to 7 NCAA appearances from 2007-2014...including 3 trips to the CWS.

That success lead to an expansion of the baseball stadium, including a new party deck on the first base side for fans too.

Prior to the new UL Baseball Stadium opening in 2005...UL's Baseball program had been to just one NCAA Regional in the entire program's history.

Programs without history, normally need mega $$$$ to build top facilities and to be able to hire/keep the right coach.

Believe it or not...people in cold weather cities play baseball too...I lived in Ohio and everyone that liked sports played baseball. Doesnt matter where you live. If it was raining or snowing, we would go into gym to practice what we could.
