prior to covid I was an avid cyclist . I enjoy mountain biking more than road biking ,but all biking is good. I went mountain biking back in July when I turned 54 a bunch .Then went on vacation to the Keys and life took a wild turn .

Today visited some friends in South Carolina and hit some trails pretty hard. I was winded at first ,but as the ride went on I felt pretty good. I have a Garmin Quatix 6 multi sport watch and it tracks tine, distance, speed, heart rate , blood oxygen levels ,generates maps and more. I rode 8 miles in just under an hour. My average heart rate was 128. I did almost a 1,000 feet of climbing. It felt good to be back in the saddle after 3 month lay off due to pneumonia.

I was down on myself because I can still feel the effects of pnuemonia but the wife was quick to point out on this giant COVID survots group on Facebook that I am actually doing very well compared to most. Anyway, this place is often filled negative news, division and anger , figured I would share something positive . .

I go to Orlando for the home games . I came down the Thursday before the Memphis game and my son and I hiked almost 6 miles back in the Little Big Econ state forest . When I got out of the hospital I could barely walk 60 feet at the end of August .

MTB >>>>>>> Roadies

You should've brought your bike down and rode Snowhill and experience the biggest POS trail system in CFL. Riding weather is here again and I'm stoked. It's amazing how much faster and longer you can ride when it's not 90 and 85% humidity.

Hope the mountain biking and travelling helps you keep hiring people for slave wages.
