Beat Temple and we could be sitting in first at 3-0 essentially having to win just 2 of the next 4 games to be at worst playing USF for the East title Nov 26th. Instead Temple now has the inside track holding the tiebreaker over both us and USF.

...and if the entire michigan team mysteriously decided to just sit on the field and protest we'd be undefeated. In fact, if all other FBS programs decided to fold their programs we would be the galactic champion of football. The most awesome football power in the universe.

Point was we are a year removed from 0-12 and we are talking about 1 play away from being in the drivers seat for the division title. A year ago we were 0-7 and awaiting a Houston game in which I fully expected to get annihilated (and we lost by 7 touchdowns). Fast turnaround.

The only thing that I care about is next year which means recruiting and extra bowl game practice. I would feel more comfortable about that with a win over Maryland and/or Temple.

And we're going to get the deficit paid off in one year by the new president.

Keep it real.

Temple demonstrated they are a better team than USF, and USF is better than us right now. We were very lucky to be ahead near the end. But unlike that game, UCF came back strong against UConn and shut them down despite UConn having the best athletes on the field: both lines, the best runner, and surefire, unstoppable receiver.

The fact we were 0-12 last year and right now we are 4-3, still in the East race, and 2 wins from a bowl game is still successful especially with all the freshmen playing. Imagine Houston's what if's.
