Easy.....we hire a guy that wants to be back at his Alma Mater.....you are on the clock Darin Hinshaw, Rob Calabrese, Travis Fisher, Kirk Callahan, Jeff Godrey, Paul Carrington, Josh Linan and Kevin Smith.
CHARGE ON!!!!

We hire someone else and thank Frost for his contributions. If a school like Nebraska wants him after only a couple years of head coaching than that means he must have* done some great stuff for our program.

We are not a destination yet but thats not all a bad thing because we are still desirable for many

He may not want to go back to Nebraska. He said that he wants to go to a place where it's easy to recruit athletes.

He's not running to Nebraska. He coulda had the job last year. Didn't even interview
Do not fool yourself. Frost was not interviewed for the NU job because the AD did not choose him as a candidate. Their former coach had no HC experience when he was hired, they were not going down that road again. Frost will be the next head coach at the University of Nebraska.

Ok...that would mean Nebraska still couldn't win a title in the Big Ten...maybe in 4-5 years, Frost can waken up their echoes...or...maybe Frost ends up at another "rich" program but a much more competitive program.

Nebraska hasn't won a conf title (in Big Ten or Big 12) since 1999.

You've got to show me something, talk
Is cheap. Frost has never conducted one practice as a head coach, won a game, a conference title or a bowl game. I admit that I like the different culture that he brings.

I'm somewhat concerned about a really young staff all over the board. It may translate into better recruits but will they know how to consistently put those guys in a position to win football games.

So I've got to temper my excitement. I'd like to see how sharp and focused this team looks under his new style in which we won't get a glimpse of that until Spring practice.

As far as him leaving he might at some point if he's really successful here. Let me ask this question? We don't have a long history but I don't believe there's a Head football coach that has left UCF since the program started. If I member correctly they have all either been fired or forced to step down but none have left because of another job. Granted, there may have never been real opportunity for some of our coaches in the past just based upon where our program was during those times. However, no one has still left as of yet. So a least history is on our side. And I think UCF can the money to keep him. But if he wants to just coach at his Alma Mater than there's nothing you can do about that.

Go Knights!

Promote the OC, it's what Oregon has done for three different coaches now.

YUP! He'll have to have us near or at the top of the AAC before anyone comes calling. If he does that and leaves he will have a staff full of young, energetic, smart coaches who will be available to pick up the ball and run.

If he wins an UCF, gets to a top 6 bowl game, and we make it to a P5 conference then guess what?

UCF could be a better and ultimately more lucrative coaching position than Nebraska. This isn't the same Nebraska as the 90's. We can be the new desirable upstart and the place to be a coach at. Frost could be the face of such a program.

Frost was not interviewed at Nebraska because the new AD is an incompetent moron! He was not going to interview or even consider anyone who didn't have head coaching experience. With that philosophy Nebraska would not have hired or even interviewed Tom Osborne, Oklahoma no Barry Switzer or Chuck Fairbanks, Florida St no Jimbo Fisher, Clemson no Dabo Swinney, Houston no Tom Herman, the list goes on...

First, Nebraska has to be doing so poorly that they decide to fire their coach.

Second, the AD at Nebraska has to decide if the "Oregon" offense is really a good fit for Nebraska. Either that or Frost has to switch to a more traditional, power based offense.

This question is like buying a new car and worrying when your going to have to change the tires. No one is worrying about tires after a new purchase. Asked the question in another year. :sunglasses:
