What does Todd Stansbury leaving before expansion rumors heat up tell us?

Enough of this. Old news. It tells me that he left for the money for the one thousandth time

I see no thread on the subject. Quit deflecting, it only shows that you're not willing to recognize the writing on the wall.

It's been discussed in threads in the Dungen...not sure about the open board. In any case, leaving UCF for a place his family likes more for a $150K per year raise says NOTHING about expansion.

"he's not a sprinter", You mean he is not a marathoner. He did sprint to a power conference and more money.

It's been discussed on the open board, with such moronic contributions as:
paraphrase- "no child likes mountains and prefer beaches" which showed the complete ignorance that in Oregon St. the ocean in just 1 hour away and the complete ignorance about skiing and snow bunnies.

You didn't miss any "intelligent" discussion.

It's even more than that. Like $200,000-$250,000.

He made $375,000 last year. Old AD it Oregon State made $592,000 in 2013.

This is such a non-controversial story

Obviously you haven't been on here in awhile. There was like 40-50 responses to a thread a few weeks ago.
Did you take a vacation?? You're making an argument and controversy where none exists.

The timing of Stansbury's departure is a little odd. However, until there's evidence suggesting that it's related to expansion, I'm going with the assumption that he left for the money and because his family likes Oregon better than Florida.

No one is deflecting, it's just the question itself is ludicrous. He didn't leave for a lesser job, he left for a higher paying job at an institution he previously worked. He's not leaving us for a lesser paying job at Georgia Southern or FIU, moves which would admittedly make a sane person concerned, he's leaving us for a higher paying gig at a school he has ties to.

The fact you know those facts, that he's worked there before and the job is higher paying, yet still think his depature implies something about expansion tells me a lot about how your brain works.

That line of thinking is being intentionally myopic. Expansion talks happen years in advanced of announcements. If the Big 12 was going to invite UCF then the AD would be responsible for the invite and UCF would make more money. Now doubt we would pay Todd for getting UCF in the Big 12.

Plus being responsible for a big invite would guarantee Todd a job for life.

You're literally arguing that Stansbury leaving a possible future raise and possible future job security at UCF means that UCF isn't getting into the B12? You do realize that the job he's going to has already offered the raise you're claiming he might get, and considering it's a school he has connections to, has similar job security?

You can't point to a possible raise in the future as an argument that Stansbury should have stayed when he's literally receiving a raise right now to change jobs. Well, I guess you can, but as you see it leads to looking like an idiot and not being taken seriously.

this is why you're only a bronze knight. Youre only understanding half of it. Stick around and you may get to the diamond level of understanding.

Well... I was a diamond and recently changed my e-mail address, but that's a
really weak and lame argument against anyone nonetheless. Aren't you the guy that thinks that we aren't fans if we don't quit our jobs and attend all the practice sessions?

Ok.... Let me put it to you straight and end this ridiculous argument. I have friends that actually know Stansbury and without getting into too much detail, you are dead wrong! He took the "now"
money, opportunity and of course the location.

Why do you continue to argue a dead point a to make yourself look ridiculously stubborn and like a "know it all?"

So you have nothing tangible to question my post with, and instead comment on my 'bronze status'? Doesn't seem compelling.
