What Happened With Our Pass Defense?

I know ECU is #5 in Passing Yards (392 yds/gm), but they put up 470 passing yds on us. They averaged over 13 yds per catch (+5 yds over their avg) on us. Is this our achilles heel?

Thats what happens when teams get down early . They have to throw every down. The yards will accumulate. Luckily the points didn't.

They were on the field waaaaaaayyyyyy too much. They got gassed. Holman's inconsistencies have a toll on the whole team.

That's the achilles heal in our defense brah. Has been that way all season. Didn't you see 22 or 24 fall down trying to tackle that WR on the outside with no Safety help?

I think we blitz a lot and we are very aggressive. When you do that you are going to give up some big yards in the air. The key seems to keep them from getting the big play for scores and then get a short field

Combo of Offense not sustaining drives, and doing it's part, as well as we just don't have the talent back there as much as we used to. Not to mention them being down early so they had to throw a ton. I'm not worried. As long as we stuff the run, everything else falls into play.

Like someone else mentioned on another thread, I believe the coaches said when they came here we would be blitzing a lot and leaving guys 1v1 in the secondary. High risk, high reward.
