How many members of the 2018 Peach Bowl winners would have followed Frost to Nebraska if the transfer portal rule had been in effect then? I imagine many stayed so they would not have to sit out a year.

I think you’re right, we would have lost a bunch if they could play immediately. Stability at the coach position is so important right now. I hope Gus plans on really making this a long term job. All signs point to that being the case.

Players were saying they wanted to go closer to home because a family member was sick and getting approved to not sit out. Or kids at school were racist, among many other reasons. A bunch would have left but not sure how many actually would have gone to Nebraska.

Let's just be glad it didn't. At this point, it helps to have an experienced HC to navigate, and it seems Gus is focused on doing exactly that.

Otis would have definitely transferred to Nebraska..he was close several times but the current rule probably had him cool off of it
