Why don't you link the article that you read about your query that's now got you all hot and bothered and then we can have some context as to why you're so hot and bothered and answer accordingly.
Nothing special about being a woman. Just another one of the 72 genders..

But of course, the ability to give birth would be a ridiculous way to define gender since a there is a percent that are not fertile due to multiple reasons beyond their control.

Please define what you mean by “special”. I’ll just assume you are not just speaking in a we are all special way. So if if you you couldn’t be one just because you “feel” like one as you stated, how do you feel they are then “special”?
XX chromosomes make the female unique. They have ovaries producing haploid DNA cells we call eggs. They have a uterus in which said egg can become a human being after conception. They can carry a fertilized egg to full term human being and subsequently feed the baby 100% from her own body which produces milk from mammary glands. They are the sole reason why most high school boys hold a job so they can buy a car and engage in the mating rituals of young homo sapien males engage in across the fruited plane. I learned that at UCF in genetics and mammology . The female of our species hold the ability to create,carry ,deliver, nurish and lead the next generation humans. it's actually quite spectacular if you ask me. They are the gate keepers of the miracle we call life.

Duh, because their hips are wider it creates that distinct female hip rocking motion in their gate. one could suggest depending on the size and fullness of the mammary glands does impact their behavior of getting undressed.
