I guess that I just don't get it. Can someone explain how things would be different if that chunk of land was just part of Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt?

Mainly intelligence, but is is also certainly built up to appease Evangelicals.

It’s not just intelligence. It’s forward staging and overflight rights along with commerce and trade. In addition to being a shining example of a more western-style government succeeding in their backyard.

Do you think Egypt and KSA and others progress as much into the globalist fold with Israel there?

Uh, a shining example? They are constantly lobbing bombs back and forth with their neighbors. Seems like Jordan is a better example of what a peaceful country looks like. Or Qatar.

Western nations defend themselves too.

But they don’t throw gays off of rooftops.

I dont know what you mean by progress as much into the globalist fold. But a lot of what you are saying we have with other ME eastern countries as well, and even have military bases in some.

I know. I’ve worked at a number of them.

But do you like what Omar and 'The Squad' are pushing?

I'm fine with people questioning if the US policy on Israel is correct, or needs more criticism. But I think more than just the 'right-wing' are tired of what 'The Squad' is doing.

In any case, too many US Corporations are now entrenched in Israel to change.

And Palestine has made their own bed since the concessions and overtures after 9/11, rejecting even the PLO and voting out Arafat et al. That was just stupid, and why Israel stopped caring.

Now one gives W. credit for forcing Israel to capitulate. And then, with the 2-state deal signed, the voters in Palestine pissed all over it. No one has explained why to me or anyone else.

It just showed Israel can give them exactly what they want, and ... Palestine will 'vote out' those who signed it.

But do you like what Omar is pushing?
I'm sorry. I don't know what Omar is pushing. I don't sit in front of the televisions screaming at it like a Lay-Z-Boy Patriot.

I'm about as far from a right-winger as one can get!
And I've been critical of US policy towards Israel for a long time.

E.g., The US can start with Israel when it comes to cutting foreign aid.

But since you've been 'living under a rock' ...
This is the crap getting elected into Congress that scares me, and I'll use the BBC.

Because this is how way too many Palestinians, Somalis and others think!
And the best part? She says her critics are Islamaphobic!

No, we're critics, valid critics ... and many of us are not Israeli apologists either!
She has to stop with the hypocrisy, or she'll just continue to alienate even allies.

So, according to that link:
On Monday, Ms Omar tweeted that "we have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the US, Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban".
"We must have the same level of accountability and justice for all victims of crimes against humanity,"

What's wrong with that? She is correct.
Maybe one day when our history classes teach us exactly what the United States, and out imperialist allies, have done around the world, we will finally swallow the honest truth that we aren't always the white knight riding in to save the world.

She is selective, and ... in the same context ... she left out Palestine and Somalia, let alone Iran and Syria, among others. Then she 'doubled down' on it. She knows what she was saying. She refuses to criticize Iran and Syria, and the few times she has, she puts asterisks on things.

Simply put, she condones what Palestine, Iran and Syria do.

That's why we have anti-BDS now. Because her hypocritical statements cause even the left to lose allies. If it wasn't for Omar, we wouldn't have anti-BDS. She causes her own problems! Then she screams 'Islamaphobia!'

She's just like AOC with 'misogynistic,' any time someone makes a valid criticism of her. The 'burger incident' with AOC was just the icing on the cake.

No one ever said we were. In fact, I'm an isolationist American, and want to stop funding Israel and everyone else.

But Omar is extremely selective, and she then 'backtracks' after she screws up.
She forgets she's not talking to her hometown crowd.
