3 4th down attempts, timeouts at the end of a half, trick play not taking a knee in the 4th and going for 2 twice. GOL would not approve.
What some seem to not understand (or won't admit) is that the offense is made to wilt the other team. That probably won't happen against Mich. or Mary., but there's a good chance it will against many in the AAC. And once we get a complete offense built for this, then who knows.
He does have to figure out who can play and who can't (or isn't ready). It's all new for everybody. Plus, since we were up big you have to get kids reps. I would expect the rotations to tighten up as the year goes on. Hopefully, we'll see a few kids seperate themselves from the rest.Biggest news: 91 offensive plays, most in our Division 1A history (have to go back to 1992 vs Kent St. for more).
Also, unlike GOL, lots of substitutions right from the get go! Twelve different guys caught a pass (including the QB).
Sure SCSt's wilted in the heat and humidity, but it doesn't explain how UCF's defense shut them down in the second half.
