Just found a few thousand basketball, baseball, and Magic The Gathering cards from about 20-25 years ago and I have no idea what to do with them.

Is it worth sorting through all of them to find rare cards or just sell it in bulk? Is it worth hanging onto them?

I need some Coola wisdom on this one.

I have some still stashed away. Every once in awhile I will look to see what they are worth. Unless you have some ultra-rare or defective card, they're worth pretty much nothing...

Wouldn't hurt to go through them and see if anything pops out, Jeter, Shaq, et al rookie cards. Don't worry about the Jon Koncak or Craig Hodges ones.

I know there's some valuable cards; I've seen at least 30 Shaq rookie cards and even some Jordan and Bird cards (not rookie though). I'm assuming there's more rookie cards from that time period.

Where should they be sold? Individual cards could be sold on Ebay, but I'm guessing bulk cards should be sold to a shop or just outright donated.

Where do you go to find values? I've seen the old Becketts magazine now has an online database, but I'd have to pay for membership.
