Now that the regular season has ended, I thought I'd take a look to see how former UCF MBB players are doing elsewhere.

Isaiah Adams - Buffalo

The Jacksonville native entered the UCF program with a lot of hype after winning Florida's Mr. Basketball Award. His career got off to a hot start after scoring 22 points in a win at FSU in Dec. 2020. His production then trailed off and he fell out of the starting lineup. His sophomore year (2021-22) was also disappointing as he saw a big decrease in minutes.

Adams started all 31 games at Buffalo, averaging 11.7 points which is third-best on the team.

The Bulls were 15-16 and 9-9 in the MAC, and will begin conference tournament play tomorrow.

I always personally rooted for him, he overcame a lot of personal struggles in his youth.

Jamille Reynolds - Temple

Reynolds showed flashes in his two seasons at UCF, but never could quite put it together. His conditioning seem to lag behind as he always seemed a bit overweight and out of shape. He transferred to conference rival Temple and made a big impact, though he dealt with some injury issues. He played in 21 games, starting 11, averaging a team third-best 10.0 points per game and led the team with 5.4 rebounds.

Temple finished 16-15 and 10-8 in the AAC, which was good for the No. 5 seed and a first-round bye.

Given UCF's struggles on the interior when Michael Durr isn't on the floor, Reynolds is the only player on this list IMO that could have helped UCF this season.

Darin Green Jr. - FSU

Probably the highest-profile departure. Green, known as a prolific long-range shooter, enjoyed three successful seasons with the Knights. He was coming off an All-AAC Third Team Selection when he decided to hit the portal. His FSU stats are very similar to last year's UCF's stats - Green averaged 13.4 points (13.3 last year at UCF) and 39 percent from 3-point range. His best game was a 30-point scoring burst vs. St. John's in December.

While FSU has been an excellent program under Leonard Hamilton, the Seminoles just had their worst season in years, finishing 9-23 overall and 7-13 in the ACC.

While he was the most recognizable name to depart, I think UCF absorbed the loss collectively between Ithiel Horton and C.J. Kelly.

Ed'Xavior Rhodes - ?

Rhodes redshirted in 2021-22 and I can't find him on any roster. When UCF secured a commit from him, he wasn't really well known and had limited media mentions though some of that probably had to do with COVID-era recruiting.

Dre Fuller Jr. - ?

Fuller spent four seasons at UCF, which includes a redshirt year. He battled injury issues during his career and was a part-time starter during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. His playing time diminished last season.

Fuller announced a transfer to FAU last June, yet never appeared on their roster. He appears to be out of basketball. His Twitter account spent the fall and spring mostly RT'ing UCF-related tweets.
