Random question. I just saw a younger sibling of my friend move almost exactly into my old dorm room in Hercules/Academic Village. It was pretty awesome for a dorm (in 2003) but the newer ones look even better.

I just saw a video for NorthView (where the WinnDixie used to be)- holy crap. Those are really nice and you could stumble to BHNS in 2 minutes by foot.

Lived in Hercules, then knights circle which I think used to be called pegasus landing.

My biggest college regret. I wish I moved into a dorm instead of with all the druggie at that dump u house.

Citrus Hall freshman year
Alafaya Club soph and junior year
River Park off Dean near Blanchard Park senior yr

I remember some friends moving into Riverwind when it was brand new and super nice except there was barely any parking and you had to walk down Alafaya from the vacant lot they purchased for overflow parking.

Ah, yes. There was nothing quite like walking down Alafaya, at night, sans sidewalk, hoping no drunk driver side swipes you.

Fun fact: I didn't stay in a single residence longer than a year during my time at UCF.

Freshman: dorm
Sophomore: Pegasus Landing
Junior: Northgate
Senior: Tivoli
Grad School Year 1: a house in Oviedo
Year 2: Oviedo Grove (massive mistake)

We had just moved into a townhouse in Winter Springs after MBA graduation when I was moved back to St Pete for work.

Transfer:
Holiday Inn Select until my apartment at Jefferson Commons was ready. Survived the partying in Jefferson Commons for two years and then moved to RiverPark for a year.

Osceola Hall...that year was fun as hell...some guy dug up a sago palm from somewhere on campus and planted it in our planter in front of my dorm room...I remember my GA yelling I am not your momma repeatedly at everyone...

After the first year I lived in Lake Claire until I graduated

A palm tree?
Damn. That beats out the time my friend moved a picnic table (by himself) into the common area of his dorm (possibly Lake/Polk).

Yes but a sago isn't really a big tree. Only about 3 feet high.

The guys in the next room over were making chemical potato guns during the intro to engineering class. They started off with a pneumatic gun for the class and ended up with one that used hairdos and could shoot half a potato over osceola hall from the roof of the parking garage.

More than one plant was removed from the landscaping around that brand new garage and put into the planters after the initial palm.

Someone stole a golf cart and left it in the arboretum. He got caught and kicked out in the first 2 weeks.

The potato gun kids set the fountain on fire for the intro to engineering boat around the fountain thing. One kid tied meat to his shirt
and the boat to a dog and attempted to out run the dog.

My first party of college was Summer 2003 at JC when I first arrived. It was nuts. Like something you see in a movie. Although a girl in my class chose JC without knowing what it was and was utterly miserable since she didn't party.

We then went to Pub whose motto was "Cash will serve as a valid ID"

Some things that happened at JC, that I have memory of:
SWAT team raid of apartment midday.
Katana sword brought out during a brawl. Luckily people ran.
High School kids gets beat up at party return with guns and breakout front window of apartment where party was, fired a few rounds in the air.
Small tree torn down and rammed through driver and passenger window of car.
Pet dog, pig, and prairie dog in my no pets allowed building.

Sounds like a BB gun to me. I still shoot them but we use MAPP gas and oxygen. It sounds like a real cannon firing but sometimes the potato breaks apart before exiting the barrel.
