Why aren't we punting the traditional style? Seems like...

the first game against SCS we were booming punts (traditional style).

Maybe the new punting style is better (but it's not working for us just yet)'

Thoughts? Comments?

Transitional punting (Houston) needs great blocking, coverage, and hang time. We have a booming punter but at times he out kicked our coverage or we couldn't block for him.

In comes the rugby style (Loudermilk) who reads the defense and takes up more time. This gives our coverage more time to get down field. Opposing teams can't return as often. This also allows us to disguise fake punts. (Isn't laudermilk our 4th TE?)
