Why would you say that White looks to be the guy? The Buffalo article is based on information from the Sentinel. They mention three candidates, White, Peevy, and a third, un-named candidate which may be Kingston. I don't think that anyone at the Sentinel indicates a front runner, and Buffalo highlights White because he is news to their readership.
I still think it could be any of the three. White does offer a very "interesting" resume, especially his experience in raising money, and experience in hiring coaches. But Kingston is a Knight, so I don't know.

It was mentioned by some insiders that Kingston is not a finalist and that female candidate from aTm along with Peevy and White were finalists.

So if he doesn't bring Leipold from Buffalo what other coaches has he worked with in the past? Seems like people, including Hitt, only hire people they know.

Name isn't everything, we want somebody hungry and willing to dig in the trenches.
Personally I don't really care about big name coaches -- I care about results. All coaches that are big names had to start somewhere. And there's been plenty of big name coaches that sucked -- Charlie Weis comes to mind.

That would mean UCF would hire an asst AD from a mid-size to small school...but the 3 finalist do not fit that bill.

Good news as in business, athletics or anything else...just because one might have a lesser salary and/or lesser experience...they too can end up being a good/strong hires.
Ok.,, we will hire the best candidate who is cheap. Yes,, value isn't always a bad thing. It's just finding the diamond in the rough. Nothing is a sure thing, so why spend millions. We can't afford that luxury like UF did with Muschamp.

Not talking about GOL anymore. I am already seeing the "Hitt is hiring "his guy" messages. People are already looking at where to put the blame and neither an AD or coach has been hired. It is the circular logic that people used for reasons why GOL was not fired when they wanted him fired. It feeds upon itself and I am just pointing it out. You will see it again soon.
