Why haven't we hired a coach yet?

1) There are a lot of openings and many are more desirable and lucrative than UCF. There is still a chance of a coach leaving a good position for a better position, leaving still yet another opening for a coach considering UCF.

2) They don't like what Hitt and White are asking for and offering. Longevity, academic expectations, etc.

3) Hitt and White don't like how they interviewed.

4) Season is still going on and the coaches don't want the distraction just yet.


That being said, even though we still yet may get our guy, the long delay can't be a great thing IMO. I'm sure Collns and Babers have been interviewed by multiple colleges and are weighing THEIR options. I believe that we have already made an offer to a coach.

First off White is still pulling double duty. The coach search is all of a week old. My guess is whether it is Babers or some one else, the deal will be done by this weekend. Yes we need some one in place, but it is more important that we have the right someone in place.
