Man, GOL is making some bad decisions lately. The podcast guys talked exactly about this scenerio. What a shit show. Well, for all the Brent Key haters, the upside is he has zero chance at this point of becoming head coach.

Ummm ... we're just losing everyone at this point. It's hard to see the case where you expect to keep losing every starter on offense.

I used to worry about using our star defensive backs to return kicks for this exact scenario. The reason coaches do it is in hopes of making a big play (or avoiding a costly mistake). That said, I've never been impressed with him as a returner.

Listen to the podcast for reasons why the Jordan Aikens returning kicks was a bad idea. First - he's not that good at it. Second - we're so thin at WR already that any injury would have a multiplier effect and so on.

So ... who do you put back there? That's the thing ... we're pretty light in general.

No ... you go with who you think will do the best. No one could have predicted all of the injuries we're having. We're light in general with all the youth.

BS - Why you think Jordan Aikens gives us the best? He's slow and inexperienced and hasn't shown anything other than that one return against PSU .

I asked first ... who do you put back there?

But I'll answer ... his hands are solid.

1. Cedric THompson
2. Chris Johnson
3. Trequan Smith
4. Will Stanback
5. Any kid with speed that can catch the ball and make good decisions

You think this? I don't know. What if George appoints him Head? This is scary shizzle.

1. Cedric THompson
You sure about the hands?

2. Chris Johnson
Same thing.

3. Trequan Smith
If we lost him people would have been complaining.

4. Will Stanback
He's had a rash of fumblitis ... let alone often not healthy,

5. Any kid with speed that can catch the ball and make good decisions
Sounds like Atkins.

I don't think he is "slow." I think he has a good top speed but lacks burst and shiftiness. He also seems to seek contact.

This is what I mean by "Garbage Men." Even if it's not as extreme as Plancher, the "garbage pile-on" gets old.

Atkins was a solid returner choice. We are very thin in general. Many of the others have worse hands, and if we lost some of those guys many would be complaining too.

The #1 attribute is hands. Why do you think we had JJ returning? Same reason. Speed and other things come after.

Yeah. After watching the other guys today I have no idea why he was returning anything. Both the guys were faster and shiftier.

I like akins but correct he doesn't have breakaway speed and hes needed healthy on regular scenarios. I know jj worton but still. Why not drico Johnson?

Stanback should be returning kickoffs!

Akins is the number 1 WR and he can't return kickoffs anyway.

Good post! I said the exact same thing several times

Stanback is fast and GOL doesn't care about him anyway. Lol.

Sorry.., I disagree. Akins is not a good choice. Never was

Lmao!!! Sounds about right except I'll take Stanback over Akins.

The trash is everywhere. Everything is armchair HC now.
