At the beginning of the season I don't think there is much doubt about that. But as the season goes on, I think the LB's and DB's will close that gap considerably.

The Defensive Line is not good on this team. It's been a position of weakness for years now. If this is our best position going into the season we are in trouble. Guys like Miles Pace and Thomas Niles have good motors, but they are undersized and struggle mightily against quality competition. One guy that is intriguing though is Jamiyus Pittman, the sophomore DT. He has a bright future.

Agreed, Pittman is the one transcending talent on our D-line. He can positively impact the game for us against any opponent
