Will the new stadium lights be installed for the first game?

so now we are excluding service to fans who don't have a credit card!?

will we have self checkouts too?

i get they want to serve faster but this could be illegal to not accept cash at all!?

Let's not do this overaction. Sounds like Karens. Pro tip. Use Google instead.

Is it legal for a business in the United States to refuse cash as a form of payment?

There is no federal statute mandating that a private business, a person, or an organization must accept currency or coins as payment for goods or services. Private businesses are free to develop their own policies on whether to accept cash unless there is a state law that says otherwise.

Section 31 U.S.C. 5103, entitled "Legal tender," states: "United States coins and currency [including Federal Reserve notes and circulating notes of Federal Reserve Banks and national banks] are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues." This statute means that all U.S. money as identified above is a valid and legal offer of payment for debts when tendered to a creditor.

You don’t need a credit card. Debit card works. As well as apps on your phone linked to bank account. I’d like to meet the person that doesn’t have a debit card.

Interesting. According to this language, you could still pay in cash. It would be the vendor who would say they don’t accept cash, but you could still pay with it because it’s legal tender.

It’s obviously legal. You can pay in Bitcoin as well some places. If the coffee vendor at stadium says they don’t accept Bitcoin, you can’t pay with Bitcoin.

I went to a "cash less venue" this week. If you had cash they had a counter that would load without a fee to a prepaid visa debt card.

prior to that my experience was festivals where you used credit or cash to buy coupons only spendable at the event. so you lost on the conversion via a fee and again if you didn't spend all of your coupons.

I’m sure that was by design

WTF is cash?!!!

Crazy to see the two new improvements didn’t work out as planned. The Southwest corner lights stayed off for a while, stopping game play. The cell signal was just as abysmal as before….

Yeah. I was going to ask about the new Wi-fi. I thought we were supposed to be able to connect to it and get better internet service. So far, no improvement, and they spent money on what? I don't even know what those things are for. The only Wi-Fi's my phone saw were private networks. No difference in cell phone being able to use the internet. Better internet/wifi = FAIL; Lights = FAIL (honestly, the field looks the same but both student sections look darker in my opinion); Entry into stadium until more than half way through the first quarter = FAIL. Good thing we didn't fail on the field, either.

Same here I thought they would have some guest Network or something but all I saw was private. And I could hear the students chanting "Let us in" from my section.

Pretty sure they said that both the lights and new wi-fi would not be fully operational for this game...

That makes a little more sense. I heard from a friend with AT&T it wasn’t an improvement.
