I remember our first game at FIU a few years ago. @Mr. Knightman and I were at The Moat (R.I.P.) and @sirdingydang was at the game and right before it started, he messaged me saying "I feel so bad for FIU, they don't know what's about to happen to them".We really shouldn't lose this game.
We watched that play out so many times last year.According to comments by players and coaches I believe this team is going to execute even faster breaking the 98 play mark on offense we saw last week.
With the pressure on FIU of being 0-3, if we get some points on the board early, I believe the wheels will fall off for FIU and we win big.

We want to know as fans what we have as we leave the month of September. I believe we're going to know after the FIU game. I'm being positive and believing we've turned the corner with the Frost regime. That doesn't mean we win every game but it means we win the ones we're suppose to and like last week we return to guarding our home turf. That's the legacy the previous players have built up and last year was a hiccup.
interesting observation by Coach Held about Hamilton so far. He has speed but is not showing the vision/patience yet to get some blocks to develop. When playing before friends and family, some players try too hard, showboat, trash talk opponents, and forget to play as a team. That's a lot of what happened when we lost there a few years back. The Hamilton interview in today's Sentinel indicates that he responds more with feelings of security seeing his Mom and family there. Let's hope. And I hope our two returning assistant coaches caution the players about those same dangers that occurred last year.
I'd have hoped that Kevin Smith would nudge him how to wait for the holes to develop. Still, this sort of offense (as opposed to GOL's) that relies on defensive misreads and quick openings to speed through would favor Hamilton. That's why it's so great to see Wilson healthy again and slimmed down. He's made something out of nothing in over half his carries -- they were beautiful! Also, Killins has had the same problems as Hamilton, which is why he's been used mainly for outside cuts, speed sweeps, and out passes.interesting observation by Coach Held about Hamilton so far. If you look at Killins run vs Maryland it seems he is learning quicker to do that which is surprising to me. I thought it would be the opposite but hopefully both of them get rolling bc the run game will be scary to AAC defenses when they do
And they barely beat FIU, who should have won.UMass is beating Miss State in the 2nd quarter fwiw
