Yes, I say take them. I bet they will ask for a provision in the contract, that waives the exit fee if like UCF or CINN bolts the conference for P5 conf.

They should merge top 5 teams from aac, mwc, then add top team from Mac, cusa, Form a super conference of g5 teams.
This is where a media co. like Amazon, Netflix, or HULU can structure a deal like this. Pay each team $10mm upfront and pay their exit fees to old conf.

Start your own new conference and now you have live streaming sports content. Much cheaper than paying billions like ESPN.

And more attractive to the common person who might not be a cfb fan. Do a special like how soccer and F1 allows Netflix and Amazon to follow them around for a whole season. Would increase sales etc in the conference which means bigger payout for schools.

Add: BSU, BYU, Air Force, Army
Kick out: UCONN, Tulane, East Carolina, Tulsa (Uconn's basketball team left, no clue why they're still in this conference when that's the only value they added)

I say that rivals ACC/Pac12/Big12.

UCONN FB is gone too but we did schedule them OOC.

We need one football team to make up for Wichita State and get divisions back. The tie breakers worked out to our advantage with previous East / West division. Will Boise be considered an east team? What will the league they're in say about them moving their football program to new league?

These two issues: 1) re-alignment of divisions and 2) being denied by their old league to pull out football team could put an end to this rumor.

Anyone know if this would increase our TV contracts at all, or would this simply split the same pie one more way?

The previous deal there was some other league that the olympic sports can go play in.

They would likely be a west team and Navy would move into east the division.

3 triple option games each season. That could be brutal, honestly. None of these teams add tv markets and fan bases worth anything to a new tv contract, unfortunately. There is really nothing left so take Army as football only. At least we can market the Army/Navy game.

I’m not a fan of Academies either. I don’t get excited to play them.

I like the idea with some exceptions.

Keep Tulsa if BYU doesn't join. And take in FAU & FIU instead of Army & Air Force

why would we want the F_U duo? would basically elevate them and create more FL competition.

A definite NO to Army. The fewer dang, dull, boring, gee what are they going to do, run?, games the better. Bring in somebody that passes more than 7 times a year.
