Moved, my Big TV is working for a few days after the move, then it starts going to shit... Turning off and on, off an on. I hate movers, they are scum in dealing with trying to replace stuff.

At any rate, I went through there official channels and have been waiting on them, I know it will take along time to get it fixed and its my main TV.

I also have a squaretrade warranty, and while I want the movers to pay for the damage they caused, I contacted squaretrade just to get the TV fixed the quickest route possible. Also was concerned that if the TV was fixed by the movers that this would void my warranty.

Squaretrade is awesome btw, worth every penny easy process for claims, they are efficient and quick to work. The only frustrating part is dealing with the call back - it can take awhile at busy times. Turns out the part to fix my tv is obsolete - squaretrade is going to get me an entirely new TV.

But now the movers people are coming out on Friday. I face a bit of an ethical dilema - because now I'll be whole, but squaretrade also doesn't care what I do with the old one... what to do...

I had a TV replaced using the Squaretrade warranty and they took the old one with them. I agree that they're great for getting the TV fixed or replaced. I had a white dot about the size of a pencil eraser on my tv and emailed them a picture of it while I was on the phone with them and they just said that they would send me a new one.

Interesting, they blatantly told me: "As a reminder, you get to keep or recycle your old television."

Now here's the flip - this repair/replacement wipes out the warranty "once we order this TV it will conclude your warranty since we used up all your warranty value towards the new TV"

My TV never had an issue, Bob. They dropped it off, I turned it on, it worked - got DirecTV installed, no issue, but didn't use it. First time I saw down to use it for more than an hour this issue pops up.

One way or another now, I do get my TV replaced, but I have lost the coverage of my warranty on the new TV. If I was to be truly whole, I'd have my TV and my warranty. As that can't take place, at least the movers should replace my warranty, but I know they won't.

I was told by the delivery company that they would install my new tv and take the old one away. It was actually a very quick process. I have an 80 inch tv mounted on the wall. They brought the new one in, took the old one off the wall, helped me swap the brackets and mounted it back up. The whole job took maybe 15 minutes.

That's exactly opposite of what I was told. Squaretrade told me that the new TV serial number would be replaced on the warranty and it would stay in affect for the remainder of the term. I bought the TV from Costco if that makes any difference.
