Our Board and the Rutgers Board have a thread/discussion of a recent rumor about Utah and the ACC.

The "Look In" contract modifications between the ACC and ABC/ESPN begins February 2025 allowing both parties to agree to contract adjustments.

Many moving parts.

Utah always thought they were too good for the B12, but they jumped on the first train they could find out of the PAC. Don't see how the ACC is any better, especially with FSU, Clemson, and now UNC making noise about wanting out. Plus, didn't all the incoming B12 schools agree to a media Grant of Rights?

I heard they had a choice when the PAC2 fell apart…..and they made the right choice. Joining that league is very risky, but the 3 had no other options.

Supposedly Utah signed a different agreement from the other new comers and did not sign the GOR for an extended period. They don’t want to be stuck long term in the Big 12.

Guess that means they actually are looking into it. After all, they'd NEVER join the Big XII.
