I don't understand why everything isn't in 4k yet. A large majority of cable is still 720p or 1080p.

Agreed - but not sure if the main driver is the actual cost of broadcasting in 4K or just wanting to funnel people to premium services to recover cost that way.

I am willing and able to pay the $. I only get like 2 games a week in 4k on YouTube TV. That's all the 4k content their package offers.

1080p compared to 4K really isn't that big of a difference when you are farther away from the set.

1080p compared to 4K really isn't that big of a difference when you are farther away from the set.

Size of the TV and distance. 75"-85" is pretty much the norm now at home, even at 12ft back you can see the difference of 4k.
