    USA Today 2018-19 Bowl Guide

Picked up a copy of this publication at the local 7/11 tonight. Going to Vegas soon and I figured i'd do some research before hitting the sports books. Anyway, I open it up and right away on page 3 I see a pic of Nate Evans celebrating with head coach Charlie Strong after beating USF on Nov 23...

    Things are back to normal......

Terry Bradshaw on the Fox NFL Postgame show talking about the Saints..."and you mentioned it, how about this Smith kid, he's a second round pick out of OHIO ST, had over 120 yards receiving, he's a rookie....." Well, I guess for at least a day, it was nice gettiing all that national exposure:)

    Everyone wants us to lose!!

I just finished reading his article on The Athetic. Then I read the comments.....hoo boy is there a lot of UCF hate out there!!! Well, at least they know who we are, thats for damn sure.

USF @ Cincinnati(-14) and other games Thread

How the hell did this Temple team lose to freakin Villanova? I know Battle of Philly and all that, but damn....they are playing some good ball lately.

Here is why you treat Navy Football like anyone else

WOW......as a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, there is SO much that I want to say here. But i'm gonna try and take the high road instead, and ill keep it short. I served proudly, LOVED it, would not trade the experiences that I had for anything in the world. Many of those that I served with are...

    **UCF v Temple**

It is rather funny.....if you look at the posts on this thread or really any one of a number of threads......you would think this team had a losing record and a head coach on the hotseat. Even when I get critical, have to remember this is a team that hasnt lost since 2016. Thankfully, that...

    **UCF v Temple**

Point taken. I think I look at things differently than most because I dont live in FL. I know 1 UCF fan where I live....me. Believe me when I say that the outside perception of this team, at least where I live, is a) they have a lot of nerve claiming a NC last year, b) Auburn took them lightly...

    **UCF v Temple**

Yeah but thats BC and Maryland. BC and Maryland arent top ten teams. UCF is.

    **UCF v Temple**

I honestly expect them to "outscore" whoever they play. They are more than capable of winning 60-50, 50-40 type of games. Heck, when the team doesnt score on a drive I feel like the underachieved, and that is regardless of the opponent. I just wish they didnt HAVE to score so many points so...

    **UCF v Temple**

Yeah......you are probably right about that. Ill admit that I tend to be very critical of my teams for whatever reason. The thing is I think they are capable of being much better; the 2nd half defense has looked very good. Why arent we seeing that from the get go? On the positive side of things...

    **UCF v Temple**

Which pretty much makes Temple an average FBS team....maybe 50's, low 40's? And what should a top ten team do to an average FBS team. Dominate. What UCF did to Pitt, another average FBS team, they should have done to Temple. Should have done to Memphis. But they didnt. UCF is a team with a great...

    **UCF v Temple**

I always go back to when UCF beat Bama. Bama was awful that year....but it was Alabama, which made it a huge win! A win over an very good non-power 5 team still doesnt mean as much in voters minds as beating a team that is perceived to be good based on name value....but still sucks. Its why most...

    **UCF v Temple**

The first halves of these games have been defensive nightmares. At least they are making halftime adjustments.

    **UCF v Temple**

And that goes with what I was talking about.....perception. Whether they are good or not, your still talking about Purdue (B10, or whatever the current number is) and freaking USC. USC could be 0-8 and they are still USC. Temple could probably beat both of those teams, but...

    **UCF v Temple**

Just stating the facts. It is what it is. Perception is everything with the voters. If you want to win the AAC, just keep winning and that will take care of itself. But if you want to be ranked as a Top Ten team nationally, you have to play like a top ten team, which means dominating lesser...

    **UCF v Temple**

Incorrect. If you are in a P5 conference, winning is usually enough. But if your a G5 team AND hope to keep a Top 10 ranking, you have to DOMINATE everyone you play because you generally are not playing other ranked teams, or will you have the opportunity to do so until the bowl game. Just not a...

    Enjoy the Ride

Great Post! Agree 100%. I'm also a long time lurker, but ive been a fan since back in the D2 days of Darin Slack and Bernard Ford when our biggest rivals were Georgia Southern and Troy St.I was a solid member of the group of 16000...seemed we always had an attendance of 16000 back then every...

    #7 and #8 Lose

This is life as a G5 team. P5 teams can get away with close wins; G5 teams pretty much need to pound everyone on their sked in order to maintain their ranking. Not saying this is right, but it is what it is.

    Frost vs Heup

Yeah, I get that, for sure. But man, I would think that there would be a bit more faith in a team that hasn't lost a game since 2016. They know how to win. Plus, this is college football. For whatever reason, I see a lot of games every weekend where highly favored teams just dont show up in the...
