Not until a financially viable team comes along anyway.

The imbalance in divisions does suck, so how do you combat that? Realigning divisions every few years seems like an idea, but it's not stable.

The man is trying to keep UCF down!! Someday (just like our winning of the Tostitos bowl) UCF will be in a power 5!

There is little to no chance of any Group of 5 teams getting into the Power 5 now. The doors are shutting closed for decades. In the meantime, the Group of 5 will continue to wither on the vine as the Power 5 schools wealth gap increases to a level that the Group of 5 will never be able to approach.

I thought these Power 5 conferences were adding schools like Rutgers, Maryland, TCU, etc. partly to enhance their TV packages? If so, then why doesn't the Big 12 just go ahead and add some schools from the American that are in large television markets they haven't tapped? I don't see how adding a combination of UCF and USF (Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne and Tampa-St. Petersburg combined form the #4 market in the nation), for example, would be a detriment to them.

I think some folks are beaten down by the past actions of the P5 schools, meaning the exclusionary nature of P5 conferences. Other folks think that TV markets alone determine worth for P5 conferences. I tend to believe it's a mixture of both, as well as establishing a winning culture.

If that is truly the recipe, I think UCF has all the ingredients. We just need to keep winning and make the AAC into something that is more P5 like, instead of being CUSA 3.0, and our worth will go up. That will draw some P5 attention.

In the meantime, just keep winning and attending games.

The Dodd piece is such a troll article. Heather Dinich was saying that they aren't sure the votes are in place yet and that Bowlsby hasn't even spoken to Swofford. I just don't see the B12 getting their segment of the legislation through. Within the context of last year, it would have almost certainly guaranteed the B12 a spot in the playoff and might every year. OOC Oregon played Wyoming, South Dakota, and Michigan State. OOC FSU Oklahoma State, Citadel, UF. OSU played Navy, UC, Virginia Tech, and Kent State. Now let's look at the world beaters (TCU/Baylor) of the B12 combined they played SMU, Minnesota, Buffalo, Northwestern State, and Samford.

You're telling me that the other P5 who want to only schedule other P5's; are going to let the B12 schedule like that then replay a conference game for access into the playoff? I don't think so.

You can win all you like, if you don't have any big donors in you foundation and have to fund sports entirely from student payments, then P5 doesn't really think you're big time. So far, UCF is small time.
