UCF Knights Mens Basketball vs. Texas A&M Aggies Mens Basketball

Mon • Nov 04, 2024 • 7:00 PM Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, FL

I can't make the game but I see a bunch of resale tix on ticketmaster.

Texas A&M is 4.5 favorites according to my Hard Rock Betting App.

ESPN matchup predictor has TAMU 51.1 percent chance of winning.

I read a couple articles on Texas A&M, They have a veteran team with two great guards. They had some transfers come in as well. They had a run in the tourny last season. Picked to finish 5th or 6th in SEC (I forget).

UCF has a challenge on their hands.

Tough game to start

UCF big freshman is gonna be real good !! Already a force on D.

That first five minutes was pretty ugly with the shooting, but it appears to be picking up

Perimeter defense has been really solid. Doing a fantastic job limiting Taylor on Texas A&M - one of the best players in their program’s history.

Really like Jordan Ivy-Curry as well. Another ball-handler to free up D. Johnson is going to make all the difference in the world.

Look for K. Hall to have a more impactful second half. He’s too good to be that quiet.

Yea, 4 fouls in 4 minutes. He's rocking the bench now and TXAM takes over the ballgame.
I guess the radio didn’t show his influence on the game in the first half. The kid is a freshman and a 17-year-old freshman at that. Expect some mistakes but he’s played well and his ceiling is limitless. Check it out on TV.

I am watching it on TV and Thiam played great in the first half. He needs to work on his temper I think.

What's with A&M's coach taking in and out chewed bubble gum all game?

Thiam is great. The Texas A&M coach Identified that and attacked him. Refs helped.

Hall got a quick 4 calls also. He's riding the pine now as well.
The problem that you have with the young big man is their footing takes time to develop in the course of action. They have never been in a situation where the game speeds up the way it does when they get at this level. That being said that is why their defense develops quicker than their offense. His defensive instincts are pretty good for a young man. he will be very, very good at the end of the day

I love UCF but watching basketball, esp. the pros, is not anywhere it used to be (i.e. 1990's style of play)...to put it mildly.

Non-stop 3's, less passing, no centers, no post-ups, no mid-range jumpers.....just wild drives to the basket, fouls, or dish out for a 35 foot 3.

Keys to the game:
FT above 70%…check
3-pt above 30%…check

Pro: We have a deep, talented team and that was without Sellers or Mikey tonight. If they mature, develop individually and as a team they could become a real problem.

With Thiem out there I have to reinstate the unofficial stat of “Non-Block block” that I had to make up when Tacko was here. He had six blocks and altered several other shots.

Con: We got killed in the paint.
