The Generic House polling is basically dead even so a lot of it will come down to what the top of the ticket does. If Trump is winning these swing states as convincing as recent polls suggest then it would bode very well for down ballot Republicans.

I didn't vote in the last election cycle either. I wasn't well enough to get out and vote as I was in the hospital for just over 3 months with multiple abscesses in my intestines. I ended up with some 4 fistulas that healed up around the time to vote but I couldn't stand in line. Obtaining a mail in ballot wasn't on my mind when I was sitting in the hospital with a wound vac. I wanted to watch/read something that had nothing to do with COVID, Crohn's Disease, or politics. Then on January 4, 2021 I had emergent surgery to get an ileostomy which I used up all of my PTO while in the hospital. So personally, 2020 and 2021 were rough years for me. I'm also not planning on voting this election cycle either. If I do, it won't be for Biden or Trump either.

Republicans flipped the House in '22 they didn't hold it. Granted it wasn't nearly as big of a flip as they wanted.

The math for the Democrats isn't great this election cycle in either the House or Senate. If you look at the Cook House tracking report, the Democrats trail in Firm/Lean against Republicans. There are an equal 11/11 toss ups from each side and the Democrats would have to make up 15 seats to take the House. So they'd have to win every single D toss up race in addition to winning 5/11 R toss up races.

In a year in which D voter enthusiasm is looking to be subdued vs. 2020.
