Incumbent parties across the globe are being voted out in backlash to the worldwide post COVID-19 inflation.The biggest issue is the same that every party in power faces. People struggling economically will look to someone else to fix it. Look at the swing in new voters and young voters toward Trump from 2020 to 2024. That alone won him the election. People 18-22 don’t necessarily care what was going on politically 4, 8, or 12 years ago they just know that prices are high and they can’t afford housing. And if in 4 years that demographic is still struggling, well, you know who gets the blame.
But only here in the US do you have a bunch of non educated inbreds voting to deport their neighbors to theoretically save $0.60 on some eggs.
(Spoiler alert, when you deport 90% of the people in charge of producing our produce, labors costs will go up).
