2025 Spring Transfer Portal: 4/16 - 4/25

It’s April 1st (in less than one hour) and it’s time to start discussing the Spring transfer portal. Players will have from 4/16 thorough 4/25 to enter their name. Graduate transfers can enter at any time.

It’s going to be interesting to see what UCF does. Many areas of need and lack of depth at every position group. Repole, Euliano, McNamara and others have to step up and help Frost.

What do you believe UCF needs to address in the portal?

Are we expecting departures? Whether not happy or told they won’t play. One of our coaches mentioned evaluating players and some he didn’t see enough out of. I’m thinking a few leave after the evaluations.

DBs are the most likely to hit the portal. Too many quality guys in one room.

Kind of makes sense. If Jacurri could improve throwing and reading defenses, which I think KZ/Frost certainly can help a hell a lot better than Gus and company, then he’d be a solid backup/qb1. I heard Jackson is in line for qb1.

I like Rizk as a pocket passer that can run when needed. I think Frost wants a guy that can run as a plan. Although I think Rizk is similar to KZ in the running department. He’s smarter than the guys that can run. I was hoping he could be top 2 on team at least. Next year is looking worse in my eyes now. Nothing but backup QBs on roster.

I’m curious as to what you think made him a better candidate for QB than the other guys? I think he’s a decent pocket passer, he sometimes indecisive and his passes would go awry with inaccuracy. Didn’t have the biggest arm with either which also affected some of his passes. He’s a good kid, plays with heart and grit and I think he could be more talented but I just didn’t think he was capable of winning QB1 here and I’m sure the staff gave him honest feedback on that matter too.

Rizk needed to step up and protect his role as returning starter....he didn't. Frost is going to go with a guy he's comfortable with and that includes not only athletic ability but leadership. Obviously, Dylan wasn't the guy for him. At the first open practice, it was obvious Dylan was looking and playing like last man out....

He lost his job at Indiana. They weren’t good with him. We aren’t winning 6 games with him.

I was hoping the previous staff didn’t know how to use him and he’d be more consistent. I’m also not sold on backups from FAU and Indiana coming here and being good.

Looked good when he played. Wasn’t focused all the time. I think his upside is biggest of all. We will see

I'm getting the same feeling. Rizk was damn solid!!!
