Haven’t been this excited for a WR since we got Trent Wittmore*Yep, UCF FB twitter is following him now.

To be fair, didn’t Bowman get a bad concussion and was never cleared to play here again?scissor ants had issues, was too small and a legend in his own mind.........Bowman had great speed and an impressive spring which makes his complete flop somewhat puzzling
And now they’re out? They know there’s multiple spots open right? 😅Only know of 1 more now. Btw other WRs were going to commit here until Burke became available
Idk if they are out or team no longer feels they need them. Vibe I got is not needed but that is a guessAnd now they’re out? They know there’s multiple spots open right? 😅
Ehh, I’m ready to give the young guys a chance to shine; especially in a position like WRIdk if they are out or team no longer feels they need them. Vibe is got is not needed but that is a guess
Maybe they are going to go all in on the young talent in the room and evaluate through the spring. If talent lacks after spring hit portal again for itIdk if they are out or team no longer feels they need them. Vibe is got is not needed but that is a guess
Nothing wrong with having some experienced guys at each position— not every single transfer needs to be a superstar. We need depth for spring more than anything.Maybe they are going to go all in on the young talent in the room and evaluate through the spring. If talent lacks after spring hit portal again for it
Also can be guys under the radar. Feel like half the class has been out of nowhere
Got to think Beckton has already evaluated the young WRs. Knowing him, he was keeping an eye on them this past fall regardless of what his real responsibilities were. He knows exactly what he has to work with.Maybe they are going to go all in on the young talent in the room and evaluate through the spring. If talent lacks after spring hit portal again for it

With all due respect, I knew the guy would flop when in his first interview with Brandon he was asked about the Gasparilla bowl loss and his instinct was to down play it, seemed like he was beginning to say “…well we didn’t really have all our players” or something like that.Haven’t been this excited for a WR since we got Trent Wittmore*
Whittemore certainly saw the field more in the first half of the season. Jones was getting no snaps and had 2 receptions thru 7 games which obviously includes the two layupsKinda hard to compare to last year with QB play being so poor too. Jacoby Jones was good and you’d have no idea until those last couple games.
I’ve confirmed that he will be here. Its been 4 days and Lewis Carter is still not listed by 247 on UCF's transfer list...he's not coming is he..
We lost our top 7 pass catchers from last year. I definitely think Day Day and Bredell are going to play and contribute but I’d be a little surprised if we stop at DJ Black and Burke.Maybe they are going to go all in on the young talent in the room and evaluate through the spring. In part Whittemore was a victim of our 1 read, poor accuracy Gus QBs.Whittemore certainly saw the field more in the first half of the season. Jones was getting no snaps and had 2 receptions thru 7 games which obviously includes the two layups
Scott Frosts LA friends can’t be trusted*We lost our top 7 pass catchers from last year. I definitely think Day Day and Bredell are going to play and contribute but I’d be a little surprised if we stop at DJ Black and Burke.
I thought Prince Strachan would be under the radar but he’s visiting USC. They seem to be in on a bunch of guys we’re after too.
According to the NCAA typical recovery times are 7-10 days. Even if it were a severe concussion does it make sense that he was never cleared to play here or anywhere else? Something just doesn't add up...........To be fair, didn’t Bowman get a bad concussion and was never cleared to play here again?

Nice to see...
I wonder if any of the 20 DB's we have might be candidates to flip over to offense?Got to think Beckton has already evaluated the young WRs. Knowing him, he was keeping an eye on them this past fall regardless of what his real responsibilities were. He knows exactly what he has to work with.
I think we’re going to need all those DBs. They’re not all going to start obviously but last year we also got a million DBs and we still felt like we were pretty thin. For depth purposes we probably need like 6 guys that could potentially start at CB. Then we probably need another 5 solid guys at S.I wonder if any of the 20 DB's we have might be candidates to flip over to offense?
Gude and Heyward were big recruits in the secondary. No buzz with Hawkins? Hoping they can contribute. Also, Birdsong at LB.I think we’re going to need all those DBs. Would be great to not constantly get burned in the passing game.

Keys to punt returning:
1) Never FUMBLE
2) Know when to fair catch and know when to let it go (hopefully thru the end zone)
3) If when you do return it, average over 10+ yd a return...as about 25-30 punt returners are able to average that in a single year.
Bonus: Have good air judgement so you can catch it on a fly (return or fair catch)...as many teams use ruby kickers that try to get 20+ yds of roll per kick.
Every Gator we get sucks
Yea, that’s not really how concussions or the brain always work.According to the NCAA typical recovery times are 7-10 days. Even if it were a severe concussion does it make sense that he was never cleared to play here or anywhere else? Something just doesn't add up...........
Hasn't played much. Was originally signed with Alabama in 2022 I believe.
