Once again, you must remove your brain to listen to the media and the Brady Foundation ...
"As many as 1.7 million American children live in homes with an unlocked, loaded gun, according to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun violence"
While the law clearly states ...
"Michigan state law does not prohibit guns at home child care facilities, but requires them to be unloaded and stored in a locked location away from children, according to the state's Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs."
Also, the CDC's own statistics are at odds with this claim ...
"Nearly 1,300 children die and 5,790 are treated for gunshot wounds each year in the United States, according to a recent study published in the medical journal Pediatrics."
The 1,300 children die claim is
higher than the total accidental death rate for firearms. It's also around the
total for
all,
non-organized crime homicide rate. So what they are doing is
including organized crime,
including young gang members, in their 'children' claim.
I cannot stand this level sensationalizing in statistics.
