One minor problem, The Defense bill he signed says expressly he can not close Gitmo.

Its a shame it cant stay open. I was hoping President Trump would send the Black Lives Matter movement over there to rot. Choudary and Hamas too.

Ahhh, no. He's trying to pull a sleight-of-hand.

I.e., indefinite detention is still on the menu. That was his promise, which was actually a purposeful lie (along with no lobbyists and keeping your doc). But if that got him votes, is that any different than Trump?

Just shows how shallow America is and how people don't pay attention to details. It's literally the President "modifying" his original promise, and trying to make his administration "count" in his final year. In the meantime, has everyone seen how he's gone 180 on foreign policy in his final 18 months? All but directly admitting, "My foreign policy was totally wrong."
