Any chance Gus utilizes QBs Jacurri Brown and/or Dylan Rizk against FL or during the season ahead?

Agreed. I would have yanked KJ on that first Interception. No accountability on a gross screw up that in my opinion cost us the game as it took the early momentum away that we never could regain.

Jacurri seems to have a quicker pace to everything he does compared to KJ, but who knows about decision making and all that. I can't even be upset about not developing younger players these days because they can just pick up and transfer after receiving that development at UCF so the guarantee of return on investment breaking in young players is way less than it used to be. The staff are really the only ones in position to gauge players that are likely to be here after this season and balance that against guys best suited to help us win now.

Plumlee started against Kansas and he didn't even look remotely healthy to be playing. The starter basically has to refuse to go on the field.

yeah this UF team might be the worst one they have had in 20 years. even when they were average before the defense was always solid . But Gus’s scheme can make any defense look good.

Using another QB without a change in calling of plays isn't going to fix the problem. It was obvious very early in the game that Gus' constant movement in the backfield wasn't slowing down the opposing defense. He needed to run plays that went right at them including quick pass like slants plays but Gus doesn't do that and this is why Townsend left. Gus likes to use the slot receiver as a decoy running behind the line and doesn't use him much in quick slant passing game.

Correct. It's his game, along with throwing slants. You can run the same plays. Even tell your opponent what you are going to run, and if you execute at a very high level you'll still be successful. Problem is we've never seen our offense under Gus execute at a very high level for a sustained period of time. This is because we still haven't had/found/developed a dynamic QB. Without the QB position playing at a high level you're just going to be "good" no matter what (not great or elite).

Against TCU KJ had great stats: 13/22 for 230 yards with 3 TDs and 0 INTs; 9 carries for 46 yards.
Against Colorado KJ was 20/34 for 284 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs; 20 carriers for 76 yards (1 fumble lost) and 1 TD. 3 turnovers is likely never to win you a game against quality opponents (plus RJ had 1 lost fumble, and we had a drive die within the 10 yard line).

Team just has to execute better. Will they...I guess we'll find out Saturday night.

If they load the box each time, the middle will be open for various passing (tight end, RB, WR) etc. Just basics

Matt! Yes running the same play after play when it's not working is the definition of insanity. It might work for the cupcake teams but not an SEC team.

What do you mean by after the 21? The guy I was responding to said KJ should’ve been pulled after the INT on the 1st drive. Which is insane.
