Any chance Sellers can apply for a Medical Redshirt?

Sellers has played in just 3 games this year which was suppose to be his final season in college ball. I wondered if Sellers and the staff has looked into applying for a medical redshirt so he can have a chance to play his final season?

Seems there are not many rules anymore in the NCAA so I think there would be a chance for him to get one.

Thoughts?
