Any chance that boise-state-quarterback-malachi-nelson-former-five-star-prospect

Just depends on money. I’m not saying the roster couldn’t benefit from bringing in a QB, but I can’t really justify paying anyone at QB KJ-type offers this cycle (not saying Nelson gets that, but just in general).

This team lost four starting OL, a starting TE, and 100% of their production at WR.

The offense is in complete rebuild mode. I’d rather use the money to bring in a few lineman before I worry about any other positions on offense.

When you win 4 games, it should be a rebuild. Colorado did a complete rebuild and was better than us going full steam with a 4 year coach. How embarrassing.

I cringe a little when people bring up Colorado’s ‘rebuild’. I mean, their rebuild involved two of the top-ten players in the country.

I don’t think it’s fair to bring up Colorado. Frost isn’t bringing a son who is a top-10 pick at QB with him.

33 starters. His son is one of them. A good college player but won’t be great in NFL. Not as a QB anyway.

The reason why you have to have a pretty good backup is because if something happens to risk or if something happens to the starter risk goes in. I know that's Captain Obvious but I don't know if jacurri can do it

Tbh im not sure why jacurri didnt follow gus the bust. Maybe gus figured out he sucks
Brown seems smarter than TC. Gus will keep switching guys unless you golf with him like JRP. FSU will use at least 2 but probably 3 QBs as starters next year. Then he gets fired and gets his buy out. Which I think was the point in hiring him and signing a 3 year deal in first place.

The longer this goes, the more chance we have I guess. There are just 3 guys left unsigned that have 4 star transfer grades (90 or above). Nelson is among a big group of unsigned guys with a transfer grade of 85.

BTW, Mikey Keene commits to Michigan.....not sure that works out for him.

I'd be working the phone really hard trying to get Nelson in.....there is only 1 guy left with a 4 start transfer grade, then you would be down to a guy like Sluka (LOL) and Nelson

At this point, this kid is going into year three with 20 career pass attempts (zero TDs). What am I missing?

It’s not like anyone has actually seen him play. This is just based on stars from over two years ago? Again, what am I missing? There were/are tons of QBs around the country available, why have we been posting/talking about this particular one?

GOL correctly used to say if folks are transferring, why couldnt they cut it at their previous school?

Maybe somewhat true but only when applied to those who truly left for a bag. Alot of kids are transferring because they couldnt make the two deep

EJ Colston
Most transfer because of playing time or their coach left. If it’s playing time, there could be a reason. Then we wonder why we have 4 wins using other teams castoffs.

But it is the game we have to play since we are losing some of our best players every year.
I saw nonstop booms. For 3 straight years. That’s why I don’t get excited because a guy commits. He may not play or just leave a year later. But if you are supposed to be this great recruiter with booms, just plug in your HS recruit when a guy leaves. He didn’t like hus HS recruits it seemed. He wanted Transfer guys. They sucked.
