Anyone know what's up with Andrew Sundean?

Off the top of my head, he has not played but about half the games this season. Hasn't looked great at the plate at all. He still recovering from his injury from
last year?

Hoping he bounces back. If his bat gets going, this could be a potent lineup.

I have not heard anything either. Yeah, we need him.

Yeah, we’ve only won the last six games 80–10 - we need more thump in this lineup! Seriously, he has never been the fastest guy in the world, but it seems like he’s running underwater now. In this area of college sports, we will never know if there are lingering effects from his injury.

lol. I posted this before our streak.

I think Coach Wallace is just more comfortable with King behind the dish defensively. He’s been doing a great job controlling the base paths as well.

King can’t catch all three games in a series, or at least he shouldn’t. So Sundean can spot start, and he can DH when needed. Having too many catchers is a good thing, hopefully he’s healthy when we need him down the stretch.

I think Sundean is a good catcher and he’s obviously done very well with a bat in his hand the last few years. He doesn’t strike out a lot and his OBP is good. He always leads the team in the “hit by pitch” category which makes him a true asset. However, Sundean is agonizingly slow as a baserunner. Dylan King has been playing great and he’s just better overall as our starting catcher. Sundean has been relegated to playing a lot of DH and the team has been totally on fire lately. Two good catchers is a nice problem to have.

I am hoping Sundean can get back to hitting bombs and contributing to the team in any way possible. King has been fantastic this year and we don't miss anything defensively when he's behind the dish.

Am also hoping that Stagliano can string together some decent starts. He kept the ball down on Sunday, which is what he needs to do.

Sunny is having quite the game so far tonight
Sundean had a nice outing as DH tonight. 2 for 5 with a double and 3 RBI’s but he struck out 3 times.
Dylan King was stellar behind the plate and had some great throws to 2nd when Miami was trying to steal. Opponents seem to be a bit more reluctant to steal with King behind the plate. He also had a decent night with the bat going 1 for 3 (walked twice) and scored 2 runs.
