I think our D-Line will manhandle their O-line. My worry is the secondary. If we can pressure the QB I think the offense will put enough points to get us the win.

However, THEIR secondary is succeptible to big plays. I'm sure we are working on the passing game in excess since Michigan and all week.

Their return game defense is succeptible to big plays, but we all know who we have to exploit that

Could be a high scoring game. ECU's offense had over 440 yds in all 4 games. Both have played and lost to 2 P-5 teams, one close and the other not. The last team to score may win (or is that too trite?).

If we keep their QB on his back or throwing off balance, this could be the difference.
Coming back must include winning these type of gains before taking on Houston, upper
echelon of league teams. I don't consider ECU upper echelon but right now they
stand in the way of us making a bowl game.

Last season, we had A LOT of good practices against ourselves and sucked against
everybody else. Their physical practice report is meaningless.

Just shows the disconnect come game time. It's still our closest to an ongoing rivalry (10 years in a row?), they used to always beat us, then we did recently until last year. Funny how they still remember the Hail Mary there despite mauling us so badly last year.

I know, beating the stuffing out of us in our own house wasn't enough? They got us back last year. Now it's our turn again.

We need to put
ECU, Tulsas, and Tulane behind us, like we did with Southern Miss, Rice, Marshall. They are not in our league.

I mean ECU leads the all time series 10-4 and Tulsa leads the all-time series 6-3 so they are in our league.
They beat us consistently in C-USA, but we won since (except last year, of course).
But I was clearly referring to how ECU -- like the other schools I mentioned -- doesn't have the market size or bring anything to the table to ever be considered by a P-5 conference.

Ah I see - yes if you mean P5 consideration I agree.

But at the same time, how do we put them behind us? They are still in our conference for the foreseeable future.

I guess the same way Ohio State, Bama, and FSU treat the conferences' small-market schools that were grandfathered in. Throw 'em a bone (revenue sharing) while the media continues to never mention them.
