The Current State of Florida Programs

Very early but some logos already missing.

Emphasis on VERY early. Hell, Oregon is the only one with double-digit commits (10!). I wouldn't be concerned about the absence of Florida State or UCF.

It depends on the player and the situation, but many programs nowadays are very cautious about early announcements and encourage silent commits because the nano-second recruiting sites like On3 puts a kid on a team's commit board, scores of rival coaches double their efforts to steal him.

Click bait is the only thing tweets like this are good for.

Yes, I agree with some of your points but not about silent commits…if they are “silent” they are far from committed, trust me on that.

Coaches always pressure kids for a public announcement…always. Every program strives for the perception of positive momentum in recruiting.

Just FYI…I can understand UCF fans disliking me personally and my posts/tweets. I do “troll” on social media and argue plenty with UCF fans. I like to argue sports and UCF fans are a “low hanging fruit” to pick arguments with.

However, I do not hate UCF itself, its football program or its fans….far from it. I really don’t even root for UCF to lose (at times I have for the troll “effect”). I do ALWAYS root for FSU and UF to lose. Also, I have made quite a few UCF friends. LOL.

That’s all…back to the piss fight.

Classy. Henceforth…can we all have friendly arguments without insults?

There is a reason he doesn't show his face. Dude is ancient.

This is definitely the slowest time of the year for college football. 2nd week of March spring practices begin all over the country. Once practice begins…we start getting for updates and things get fun.

The window to jump in the Spring transfer portal window is from 4/16 to 4/25.

I will be very interested to see what the WR market will look like. Miami will definitely for a proven WR1. Also an elite slot guy. No other pressing needs for Miami but I can see them bringing in a veteran LB for depth.

UCF needs to come up with some money for a proven, talented outside WR. Euliano, Repole, Gerring, McNamara and Wydra need to put their money where their fat mouths is. The UCF WR room is questionable at best and Frost needs a dude to help out whatever QB (probably Jackson the Indiana transfer).

UCF’s goal for 2025 should be 5 wins. IMO the absolute ceiling, given the current staff and roster is five wins…with 3-4 wins as a reasonable expectation.

THOUGHTS?
