Ask the cooler travel advice - Seattle Edition

BTW, I forgot to mention this is totally a bragging, look at me, Richy rich, lateeda, Chemmie thread.
Bitch, I just got back from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand and booked my Business Class flights for Malaysia and Indonesia for next year.

You need to get on my next level shit.

I want to go to Thailand so bad!

If you do, my advice is to plan more than just Bangkok. We had 5 nights in Bangkok and got to do maybe half of the things we wanted to do because of traffic and congestion. The place is crazy. We loved everything about it, except that.

Hanoi was the surprise of our trip, though. We loved it.

The people everywhere over there are so over-the-top nice, I think it is hard to find a place you wouldn't like.

meh, I'm not concerned about the flights since we are connecting in Dallas, splitting the long flight in two. They did fine on the direct flight to Chicago earlier this year so I'm confident.
Honestly, the splitting of the flights was worse for me when we took our kids to Barcelona than the overnight flight.

<----- Doesnt need to brag like chemmie. Just spend 45 consecutive days in the Ukraine, Oxford, Tuscany, Egypt, and Istanbul. Paid cash for the first/business class seats, not mileage like that other person. Egypt hotel was 50 yards from the Sphinx with an unobstructed straight on view.

Didnt eat a $200 meal or drink a beer made from Icelandic moss, but I did do shots at Palata #6 just like this guy. Who would you rather travel with?

I only ate at three of the Top 40 from San Pellegrino's list of restaurants during this trip. My penis is still bigger.
How you pay for your first class seats doesn't mean anything while you're taking a nice shower after a 15 hour flight in one of Cathay Pacific's Hong Kong lounges.

Oh, Chuhuly Museum, under the space needle, is awesome. There is also a pop culture museum there, too.
The pop culture/music museum referred above is the EMP Museum, well worth it. Great Hendrix & Nirvana exhibits (both were Seattle) and your kids might like the Hello Kitty exhibit there. I'd also recommend taking the ferry out to Bainbridge Island, easily walkable from the B.I. ferry station.
