Austin Peay's record vs Maine's in 2017

Interesting fact. Austin Peay - the FCS team that replaced Maine on our schedule in the last minute actually had a better record this year. Austin Peay finished 8-4, Maine 4-6. Of course FBS programs won't volunteer like minutemen to play a football game, much less P5 teams but ironic regardless.

Actually a big controversy on Austin Peay NOT being selected into the FCS playoffs because they played us!!!

FCS officials said Austin Peay played too many FBS teams and not enough FCS teams to warrant selection...

8-1 with the only loss coming to the #3 team in the FCS rankings. Supposedly they were the last team out of the playoffs in FCS. The committee questioned their defense since they gave up 70 to UCF.

Yeah Irma wasn't in that sense good to us at all. Georgia Tech was cancelled and for our meaningless warm up game, we substitute a losing FCS team in Maine with a FCS team that was considered for the playoffs.
