As a Marvel fanatic, I've come to the realization that this may be the worst in the entire series, including the Hulk movies. There are just way too many plotholes for it to be considered a well drafted script.

They really screwed the pooch with Endgame. Time travel was an easy way out. They should have just had more battles with Thanos, and somehow realize that he really didn't destroy them or there was a way to recreate them.

Now, the stones are gone. What is the point of the whole universe, now? Nobody is going to have unlimited power without the damn stones.

Plus, why did they need to go back in time to get all the stones? Just go back and get the Time Stone from the bald woman, then reverse time. Voila!

How did they even know that the time stone was in New York on that day? Wasn't it normally kept at ka-martage? Why not just send everybody to Titan and chop off Thanos' arm when he's under and then all they'd need to do is get the mind stone? If they only had enough pym particles for one round trip, how did antman keep shrinking and growing again in 2012? How did they shrink Quills ship and bring it back? Why take the ship when you can just go directly to Vormir?

The whole thing was just lazy writing.

As someone who stopped with Iron Man 2 ... and really haven't watched any Marvel-fu ...

I have Disney+ (as part of the ESPN+ and Hulu deal). Should I bother?

Yeah, it's a great series. You don't really have to watch them in order either. You've seen Iron man so you know his background, just skip to the first Avengers movie. Then go with Captain America: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Captain America Civil War, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity war, and then Endgame. Those basically cover the bases, the rest just fill in some details but almost all of them are good movies. And always watch for the mid credit and end credit scenes because they tie a lot of stuff together.

I'd say add Age of Ultron in there because it does set a lot of stuff up, but its almost better to watch it after seeing the later movies to get the backstories of the new characters. It's not a great movie but it explains a lot of stuff that happens later.

I watched all 23 movies last week for the first time.

I watched Infinity War and Endgame, first. Then I watched the rest using a random number generator. I did it this way just to amuse my co-workers who challenged me to do it.
I suggest watching in order. Especially Ultron, Civil War, Winter Soldier.

They confused the hell out of all the deaths and aging, too.

So now Black Widow, Vision, Tony Stark, Gamora, Loki, are dead. And, Captain America is too old to do anything.

But they have a Loki TV show, and a Black Widow movie, coming out.
They're starting to drop the ball on things...

And to make things even more confusing (based on Wandavision), Vision is already back as White Vision and it's possible that they have already re-created the mind stone.

Besides the original Iron Man, my favorite MCU films are the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

The best thing on Disney+ is the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. That show is the best Star Wars since the first two SW movies back in the 1970s.

Oh, should have mentioned I've seen GotG I & II.
Just too funny not to have.

But yeah, Iron Man I & II, GotG I & II, but that's it.

Just skip Thor 1 and 2, or if you want to choose between them then go with the first one. The first Captain America is good but it actually makes more sense after you've seen the first Avengers movie. Iron Man 3 is way underrated but it honestly doesn't advance the story arc, so watch that one last. It'll come in to play later.

I'll add Dr Strange into the first round of movies you should watch. It moves along pretty quickly and helps give some background in the last 2 Avengers movies.

So ...
  • Marvel binge?
v.
  • Kevin Smith binge?
I've been meaning to watch Kevin Smith's movies as well. I think I saw half of Dogma, and that's about it.

Oh man, lol. Dogma followed by Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. If you are into it at that point, go with Mallrats. Clerks sucks so don't waste your time
