B1G TV rights and B12 impact

If one more PAC school leaves for the Big 10 (and Oregon representatives are in Chicago this week) then it is over and the Big 12 will choose (along with ESPN) who they want to offer membership to. If the PAC loses another, then In all probability the Big 12 will first offer Arizona and Colorado. As a Kansas alum, I miss Colorado - a one hour flight - more than any school that left because Boulder is an absolute blast and the travel was so much fun during ski season. And now we have BYU which is about 15 miles from Sundance. We may not make the dough of the emerging two monster conferences, but we may pick up some damn sexy schools to travel to. And yes, Orlando is pretty damn cool as well!

I don't think any university has suffered more as a result of CFB realignment than KU has. Not only has all the Big Dawgs abandoned them, KU fans (and fans of college rivalries in general) lost one of the all-time greats between KU vs Mizzou in basketball and football. Back in the good ole days of the Big 8, you could argue those two schools represented the conference's heart and soul more than Nebraska vs Oklahoma did.

Very true. KU/MU was the oldest college football rivalry West of the Mississippi. At the time they left, we had played that game 120 times. We are stunned at what has happened, and quite frankly, humiliated is the operative word. But the university has thrived. A few weeks ago, our med school just received the comprehensive - highest - level of the National Cancer research designation and enrollment has been good. And of course, a National Championship in men's basketball is just what the doctor ordered to sooth the collective ego. Bringing in UCF is definitely a step in the right direction. The recruiting quantity and quality in your backyard in unbelievable, as it is for Houston, and to a lesser extent, Cinncy. All three of you will challenge for conference championships with Baylor, Oklahoma st., and TCU right away. The conference needs for all of you to climb up in those ratings!
