To all the guys out there defending Rannell Hall when I noted that his combine day was beyond pathetic there you go. Seventh round and still not getting picked. He was beyond awful and game film did not redeem him.

Glenn....absolutely stupid decision to leave school early unless he just hates attending school or needs to get paid in some capacity to make ends meet.....that dude is likely to play in the CFL and have to earn his way into the league.

Terrance Plummer I love that dude and and bummed for him to not get drafted. Hopefully he will make a practice squad and stick somewhere.

JJ is a personal fave. Same hopefully he makes a practice squad and sticks somewhere. He had great hands, great burst, and is so shifty. The NFL and circumstance can be very cruel

I agree with you. Often fans for a team have blinders on and rate players rounds ahead of what they are. However, Perriman and Gathers were both picked ahead of what we all thought months ago. Obviously, predicting the draft never will be an exact science.

And all the non-combine invitees drafted based on game and pro days shows that combine isn't the end-all be-all. A good pro-day etc. trumps combine. I guess he didn't redeem himself on the pro-day.

But what a stupid decision to come out as a rs Soph. It reminds me of the Jr OL that left early in the 1980's from UCF- 1AA at the time. Completely stupid. Got a FA signing in Miami and when cut Shula's quote was "Came out too early- really rough".

Eh....combine is still very important. I do agree that it may not be the be all and end all.

The interactions and the interviews are huge in that process. Honestly Perriman got lucky by pulling the hammy because his pro day time was much much better then his combine time likely would ever be so for him yes the pro day trumped all. As to the exact science it is weird because I honestly am not a big Perriman guy but am happy he went so high. I do laugh every year at Mel Kiper's mock drafts getting shredded to hell and him having meltdowns on screen. Hahah.
