Baltimore, Part 2

And that, my friends, is why people keep using that dreaded "RACISM!" word.
I'm not saying it's a fair characterization. What I'm saying is that people are screaming loudest about events that aren't atrocities. That's the problem, because there are valid examples out there. But you can't just tell people to ignore the bullshit stories that are being thrown in their face when they've been blatantly wrong. If you think that's nonsensical, then you're not getting that people are tired of the mantras like hands up, don't shoot when that was a patent falsehood. But go ahead, just call me racist.

The things that fueled the anger that lead to "hands up don't shoot" were not falsehoods. Justice department findings showed years of institutional racism within the Ferguson PD... but most of what people focused on was "hands up don't shoot" being false while continuing to basically ignore what caused anger to boil to that point in the first place.

The city of Baltimore has paid over $6.3 Million dollars in settlements for police brutality since 2011.

...but it is "95% likely" that this guy went nuts on drugs and injured himself.

Read the interview I posted at the top of this thread. Educate yourself.

And John Morgan has won all his settlements based on the merits of the cases?

I understand that. You're making my point.

Lol EE. Hands up don't shoot was the message of the protestors. There were NFL players doing it. They were doing it in Baltimore.

That's because its a symbol of the protest against police brutality and discrimination. Both of which appear to have been or be rampant in both Ferguson and Baltimore.

Yes, a symbol built upon lies, false information, and media greed for a talking point.

My, what a wonderful rallying symbol.

As I stated above, what part of the DOJ report was false?

What exactly are you talking about? The "hands up" line was entirely built around the now discredited "reports" that stated Michael Brown had his hands up and was surrendering at time of being shot. That is false. The medical examiner proved this was false.

The movement is based upon a lie.

Kind of hard to argue with people who don't even know what they're arguing about, but keep insisting you're wrong.

“The wound to the top of Brown’s head would indicate he was falling forward or in a lunging position toward the shooter; the shot was instantly fatal,” the Post-Dispatch reported.
A sixth shot that hit the forearm traveled from the back of the arm to the inner arm, which means Brown’s palms could not have been facing Officer Wilson, Dr. Melinek told the paper.

That's not what she told the paper

You can't say within reasonable certainty that his hands were up based on the autopsy findings alone. The back to front and upward trajectory of the right forearm wound could occur in multiple orientations and a trajectory reconstruction would need to be done using the witness statements, casings, height of the weapon and other evidence from the scene, which have yet to be released.

The "witnesses" who claimed his hands were up either backtracked in later questioning or outright admitted they actually couldn't see what exactly he was doing.

Not to mention the ENTIRE narrative was shown to be bullshit when it was revealed that Brown went inside the cop car to beat up Wilson and was coming back for him in the street.

It's amazing watching you guys try to keep this lie afloat.

The DOJ report notes a "culture of racism," and 85 is still stuck on where his hands were.

These individual acts are irrelevant. They are just the final straw, after years of abuse, disenfranchisement, racism, urban decay, white flight, etc. Until you understand that, you will keep looking like a moron with your comments.

85, you're either in denial or you're so entrenched in the right wing media world that you don't realize that the DOJ report had many more findings than where Brown's hands were. Chemmie and MAC are correct
