A bit disappointing start. After splitting with #1 Florida and a convincing three game sweep of Columbia in which the games were not even close, we don't even move up a single spot in the D1Baseball poll. Still #9.

Well that's frustrating. Our performance this week looked a lot like Florida's, and they moved up. I guess it didn't help that we got shellacked by them in the second game. Oh well. #9 is still impressive. We'll see what the other polls show in a few minutes.

Anything that gets UCF positive press is good. Naturally, being highly ranked at the end of the season is most important.

It is of great importance...when committee selects site hosts they take the full body of work...not just the last month of the season...If we want to make a super regional and maybe host 1...we have to be top 10 throughout the year...need to stay away from going to UF,UM and FSU regionals.

If this was a typical schedule full of nothing but cupcakes, I would tend to agree that it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But to go 14-2 with this schedule is very important, IMO.
