every fanbase in this State is like that now, a couple unexpected losses by UCF and a Noon kick in the heat will look worse

Not just in the state. This is the current reality of college football. With everyone having massive TV’s, cell phones and laptops that can get games anywhere, and nearly every game in the country being accessible, attendance is massively down across the country. Remember in the old days when various around the nation would sell out for 100+ games straight?
 
Remember that story after last season about game attendance being down at traditional football schools?

Students no longer consider games to be a significant part of their college experience.

Throw in a couple of losses and nobody is going.

I believe NW reduced their stadium size a while back partly for this reason. Don't really think we need to increase seating capacity.

If we get 3-4x as much in the next round of TV deals, we need to expand the Roth Tower, for sure. It would also help to put an upper deck around parts of it.

Just another 10K would go a long way to selling us to a P5 when their TV deals come up.

been noticing that even at some SEC programs that I think that article you were referring to mentioned. There's isn't the same level of fanaticism and loyalty to Football so it doesn't take much for them to not show up.
