Bianchi said that if we started Holman, that we would have won

While I agree you keep playing Milton, I think some people are looking through pineapple colored glasses. The kid is inexperienced and will now have to learn to swim. Just hope he can handle the pressure at this point. I am a big fan of him and anyone else they choose to put forward.

Well, Bianchi got exactly what a paid newspaper flamer wanted. MADE YA LOOK! "Let's see, I've got a column due in and nothing else to write about." Us talking about a non-issue, a what if, a fantasy sports hypothetical. He doesn't care about anything except keeping his job at a paper nobody reads. And you all fell for it, and will the next time. He's always been a hack and always will.

I think it's more of a lack of confidence in every other option even with their D1 experience

Holman and Patti struggled to move the chains vs a team that was so bad that Clemson used the Mercy Rule on this past Saturday

Just in: Bianchi says that if football were rugby, Orlando were Wichita, UCF were U.C. Fresno, and Saturday night had a blizzard, then pigs could fly.

With Holman, we never would have advanced down the field to score enough points to even be in a position to compete. Milton was a crazy poor-man's Johnny Football but he makes plays. With time, Milton will be good, really good.

It was nice to finally use our great receivers for something other than just blocking on sweeps.

It's water under the bridge now......as long as we get 6 wins. If we end up 5-7, you all will hear from Bizzle for 9 months.

bizzle you are now complaining about him playing Freshman, Smith is losing carries to Killins/Hamilton bc he doesn't have their talent/speed

during this play for example I bet Holman hesitates for a half second and that Maryland dlineman gets to him for the sack

That's exactly what I was thinking after that play more than any other example

Bianchi says lots of things. Most of them are designed to get a reaction. Reactions drive clicks, which drive revenue. And that my friends is the name of his game.

You wouldn't be happy with 5 wins? If we win Saturday, that's 3-5 in conference after 0-8 last year.

Going 4-4 is looking way better right now, but I'll take 3-5. Beating Houston and USF is going to be tough, but I'm way more confident about the other 6 games. Maryland is not a bad football team and probably would do well in the AAC. I now think that we could beat Cincinnati, Temple and Tulsa, but they will be good games. Conceivably we could go 6-2.

Imagine if this team was 8-4? Wow.

Just goes to show you. Scheduling tough out of conference games even on the road is key to getting your players ready for conference play.

I've said all year that this is a 6+ win team.

Time will tell, Win this week first then worry about overall record. I think 5 to 7 is very doable. Question then is..... Do we do doable?

Bottom line 5-7 I am not discouraged. 6-6 or better and a bowl, I am happy with the year.
Win a bowl and I am in party mode. [cheers]

FIU games get crazy for our players because so many of the players played against each other in high school down in the Miami area, friends and family from both sides attend, etc. So it's a challenge for coaches to keep players focussed and amidst all the distractions and pressures to impress and not get shown up.

You get extra practice being 6-6. We need extra practice.

for what it's worth several other UCF players have been outspoken in support of Milton and really confident in him, I didn't hear much from them when we thought Holman was the Starter for the year.

Maybe it's the carryover from last season where they just want to rally around someone new

I agree. The excitement is there with Milton. He's got talent and makes plays unlike Holman. I'm not even sure why this is a debate. This game should have been a blowout with how defense and special teams played. Holman threw for pitiful yardage and had 2 interceptions. I bet over half of the game thread was over how bad he played or wishing Scott would put someone else in. If we played Holman against Maryland, we wouldn't have had as much turnovers but we also wouldn't have moved the chains. Good Holman - I haven't seen him since 2014, if he even existed then.
